Purchased Nikon COOLPIX L22 on 10/4 from Sam's club.in June while being used camera quit. Changed batteries and still not working.
Went online to Nikon and filled out web repair request, boxed up in original box and sent in. Recieved email confirmation of arrival at Nikon repair on 7/1 then a bill for repairs by us mail for $104.00. Called in and was told they had no reciepts to be able to fix under warranty and that it was a battery door problem.
Emailed reciepts to them while on the phone and was told ok. Was sent an email "We apologize for the delay, your order has been change to warranty, our technicians we will start working immediately on this repair to have the camera repair and sent back as soon as possible. After the repair is done we will ship this back thru UPS.
Hope this information is helpful. Juan D." When it did not arrive called in and was told work order lost but would get thistaken care of and send camera out in 2 to 3 days.
Another week and no camera. Called in 7/30 and was told at first that was ready to be sent then changed to oh! It was water damage and we are returning unrepaired.
Camera was NOT around water. Was working fine one moment then quit Why so many stories, problems and promises that were not kept?
