On July 24th, my elderly mother called a "plumber" who was referred to her by an acqaintance to have a kitchen sink faucet repaired. The company reference was Right Now Plumbing AKA: All Phase Plumbing owned by Lindell Owens.
Cordell Black and Damian Young came to her home in Fenton to do the repairs. They refused giving any sort of quote up front before beginning the repairs, claiming "there is no way to extimate the cost of a repair until we get in there and find out what's wrong".
To make a long story short, they replaced her old faucet set with an identical one, Glacier Bay #856 449 cost at Home depot=$37.00, and an additional $400 installation fee (!) for the faucet AND a $99 fee to install the sprayer, which she never asked for. To add insult to injury, they assured her the sprayer came with the faucet, with no additional charge.
The two men were also asked to repair a faucet in her powder room and made the problem worse than when they got their hands on it.in spite of this malpractice, she was charged for "rebuilding faucet on the right side": $130!
Along with other bogus charges and fees my mother was presented with a bill of almost $800. Not knowing any better, she wrote them a check.
After discussing it with her, I suggested she put a stop on the check, but unfortunately it had already been cashed. I tried calling them to see if anything could be rectified; Mr. Owens denied his workers would charge without providing an estimate before beginning the job.
I strongly feel that Mr. Owens' employees took advantage of an elderly woman, my mother. His company owes my mother a full refund for the poor work completed, and an apology for their unprofessional behavior.
I researched Mr. Owen's company on the BBB website and found that they are unlicensed to work in St. Louis city or county. (among other scathing reviews) http://sask. BBB.org/article/customers-have-wrenching-experiences-with-plumbing-company-8366
Right Now Plumbing: 318-450-5004
All-Phase Plumbing: 314-635-5230
I'm aware that the issue will never be rectified for my mother, (as I don't believe small claims would work either) but is there any justice for those who have been scammed by this company?
Thanks for your time,
Nora Kuhn
