My credit union called me to ask if I had purchased goods or services for this amount from this company. I had not. They checked the site and told me there were a lot of fraud complaints for that company and reversed the charges. If VanCity had not called me I would have not disputed the charges and would be in a real mess now trying to get my money back.
Bit of a hassle - had to get a new card, etc. But happy to be banking with VanCity! Can't understand how they got my card details as I rarely purchase anything online and when I do it's only from a reputable company.
