My wife and I were first contacted by Curt Swanson of Vacations International in Grand Rapids, Mi who told us they had a Corp. That was interested in buying our timeshare in Mexico along with 17 other units in Playa Del Sol. We were then contacted by Kevin Alexander of Alliance Title in Eugene, Ore., and he said the buyers had placed the funds into escrow and he even had our escrow number. We were told we would be re-reimbursed for our fees that the Mexican Govt. Would not let the buyers pay. We lost approximately $8000 in this scam. Both of these companies tele. Are now shut down.
I had checked these companies on other websites including the BBB site and they appeared legit.
