After a water leak in my home. My insurance company contacted Serve Pro to do the water clean up. I had a Milliken Rug made from 100% nylon. I informed the Serve Pro worker that the rug could not be cleaned with water or dry cleaned. Per manufacture instructions it had to be cleaned with "Capture", a dry powder that had to be brushed in and vacummed out. The worker told me that they "cleaned rugs like this all the time", and put my rug in his truck. Eight days later the rug was returned to me in shambles, it has shunk and faded with colors running together. After my complaints to Serve Pro I was told that the rug was "Full of pet stains and had to be chemiclly cleaned". I have never had pets of anykind in my house. There were absolutly no stains on this rug what so ever. Per Serve Pro they are to take before and after pictures of work they do, however they can not locate my before picture to prove that I had no pet stains. When Serve Pro picked up this rug is was barely damp in one corner and only need to be dryed out, no cleaning needed to be done. They are the so call professionals and are suppose to know what they are doing so I let my rug go with the professionals. If I have known they would ruin a $500.00 rug I would have dried it myself.
