I was first contacted by a man named Herbert Leblanc from 1-516-394-5525. Very nice sounding man. Everything was on the up and up. Said I won 2nd prize of $400,000. Of course after fees and taxes it would be $228,000. I instantly said, "How much?"
He said nothing at all. I waited for the other shoe to fall. Played it cool and said it would be delivered on Weds. Between 10 and 5. I was off that day so I waited, and waited, and waited and finally called only to get the story of it being held in customs. Then a man from FBI Border Patrol in Dallas, TX, named Robert Cook, Badge USG8935 from 1-972-200-4474 called with this Cockamamie story and explained how they had to investigate the Sweepstakes and me to see if we are legit. Also, they had to hold it in customs due to changes in the law.
Couldn't be delivered that day but it should be sent out on Fri. On Fri., I get the story of how Cuba needs their fees from me in order for me to get my check. The Fee was $2280 (1%) and they would see if the sponsor will do half of the fee. Well, I snapped on them and hung up. You should not have to pay anything to get your prize. I was born at nite not Last nite.
These people should be thrown in a pit.
