I was employed by Amy's Floral, 2706 E. University, Suite 10 Mesa, Az 85215, for approximatley 6 months. During that time taxes were withheld from my paycheck but never filed with the IRS. I was never given a W-2 form for the 1999 tax filing. Also I found when going over the records, that I was cheatd out of several hours of pay ($306.50)
The withholding for taxes was $457.76. Amy's Floral does not file taxes, and refuses to pay me the money I have earned. I have a copy of my hours taken directly from Amy's own record book. There are also several paychecks written to me that bounced and were never made good. When I confronted the owner I was assured that I would be given my W-2 by Jan 31. That didn't happen.
When I requested it again along with the back pay, I was told I wouldn't be recieving either because I had threatened to turn them in to the IRS. I have filed a complaint with the IRS but it will be several month until they can get to it.in the mean time I am a starving student in need of that $764.00 I have had ripped off from me by an ex-employer. I did quit the job when the second paycheck bounced. Can you please help?
