D.R.D. Sent letter and copy of check saying I was awarded $1,400, 000.00. To send them $19.999 to release money

I received a letter and a fake check saying that I was awarded $1,400, 000.00. They also, request that I send them $19.99 to their main office. Which is a P.O. Box in Westbury, NY 11590-9004. I don't know what kind of scam this is but please don't send them any money. There is no way to tell if it is legitimate or not.
