Verizon billing complaint

I just signed up with Verizon two months ago and they double billed me for my very first bill and now my credit union keeps charging me fees for insufficient funds—I am on social security disability and can barely afford to put food on my table. I have called Verizon three times and they refuse to acknowledge their mistake and keep trying to get the money I already paid them. I will have no money for my food or rent if this keeps up. Will someone please tell me how to get Verizon to stop billing me for money they already have? And tell me how I can recover bank fees I never should have been charged?
