When I called the number in the ad about a job, I was told that it was an Assistant Manager position and I would be doing some inventory and light bookkeeping. When I got there that wasn't exactly the case. I wish he would have been more up-front and just told me that it was a door-to-door sales position. I wouldn't have wasted my time taking off work for the "interview" which was a joke. It seems like he was ready to hire anyone that was just willing to do the work.
I know that it may be difficult to find people for door-to-door sales positions but it's still unethical to trick people into taking time out of their date to attend a sales seminar that they normally wouldn't have attended if they knew about it.
What also bothers me is that Mr. Wilcox has filed for another DBA in Tarrant County to hide the fact that he's ripping people off.instead of operating under Innovative Marketing Solutions, which has gotten a bad reputation, he now operates under Lone Star Marketing Solutions and changed the office phone number. I guess he doesn't realize that if you search for his name (Warren Scott Wilcox) under the Tarrant County Assumed Name search, that both of his businesses show up.
