When i cancel my transation they said i did not post mark was not with in three days

The said I did not cancel with in the three day from the tranation date. The transation was on 4/6 I sent sent the cancel in on the 4/7. They said the post mark was after the three days. They sent, me a card onpost marked on the 4/12 from denver. I received it on 4/14. I guess my mastake was I did not it regestered mail for proff.
