In Honolulu, Hawaii, in a Sears store, over the store loudspeaker a man repeatedly announced 'Come to the kitchen goods area, first twenty get a free surprise. That tempted me to go check it out. I should have known better. The man there called everyone near him. Then he started in on his sales pitch. Lifetime guarentee. The knives he sold he claimed came with a lifetime guarentee.
The demonstrater talked softly to force us to stay close to him. He showed us how his knives cut. He kept repeating that we'd have a lifetime guarentee if we bought his knives he showed. We bought his knives. His surprise gift was a stupid tool that cut fancy cuts in fruit. Keep in mind that the fact he was selling in a Sears store, made his offer seem trustable.
The catch was that all these extras came with his offer. Six steak knives and an extra knife with one we paid for. It wasn't until I had returned home to my home on Molokai and I had some time to read the packaging on his knives I bought, that I learned I was fooled good. Wow, I read that the lifetime guarentee was not for my lifetime, but was instead obviously for the lifetime of his company. Hmmm
So far, five of my six free steakknives have broken. I used no excess pressure while cutting. The knives are just junk. I feel fooled and ripped off. I feel that Sears has been badly fooled too. I feel that this USJesco company should be ashamed of themselves for selling poor quality knives, and that they should be put out of business. Quikut backs this company? Quikut should be put out of business too.
What a Rip off!!
