I already despise Walmart as it is for its 'high cost of low prices'. I usually tend to stay away from any Walmart, but as a college student sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures. So last night I needed to get a few general things; as I was in the makeup section my friend called me over because he spotted a pet fish section (we don't have that at the Walmart where we are from). I wanted to cry with what I say. The tanks were absolutley filthy and disgusting. Some fish were put into small containers and simply left there (they were all dead). Other fish were diseased, or close to death. My friend poked at the one container where a fish seemed very lethargic; it went belly up.
As an animal rights activist this appalled me. If a store is going to carry animals such as pet fish then they should be taken care of accordingly. Not neglected and left for dead. Needless to say this confirmed my hatred for Walmart.
