Recently I received two offers to purchase collectibles listed on a free ad website. The first offer came in at full price of $560. But they would deposit $900. To my PayPal account. Then I was to send the difference to their mover in England via Western Union.
Second offer also came in at full price of $560. But I was told his secretary made out the check for $2500.By mistake and I was to send the difference by Western Union to his mover. Also, I could keep an extra $100. For my trouble.
In both cases I refused to send any monies to Western Union and also requested bank cashier checks to me or money orders.
Sent a message to the second person today stating that I would not cash his check nor send any funds to the mover. Also told him that both he and I knew this to be a scam and shame on him!
Hope this proves to both these people (could it possibly be one person using 2 different names?)
that not all Americans are stupid.
