I rerceived a call from Will Davies, who said he worked for Republic Partners Properties in Las Vegas, Nevada. He offered to sell my Time Share at the Riviera Beach & Spa Resort in California if I was interested. He said his company, Republic Partners Properties, offered loans to prospective buyers that were interested in buying Time Shares, and that he would get me a buyer. Will Davies seemed credible to me and I said I had this Time Share that I had tried to sell for several years. I told him I wanted $11,000 for it. He came back to me later and told me he had found a buyer for the price I was asking for. He said I would have to pay an upfront fee of $1,995 for documantation, and at the conclusion of the sale of the Time Share, I was going to get a check for $11,000. He said the whole transaction would take 60 to 90 days. I spoke to David, Will's supervisor, because I was having trouble understanding all this. David explained the whole process and seemed credible too; consequently I believed in them not knowibg I was being decieved. I signed the forms electronically and charged the $1,995 upfront fee to my credit card. About a month later, I called the company to check on progress on the transaction. I found out that nobody answered the phone; customer service did not pick up the phone and the company's website was closed. There was nobody to talk to. There and then it dawned to me that I was a victim of a SCAM.
