There was a guy that came to my door and said he was from universal gas adn electric, he than said he could be saving me somuch money and also said if consumer energy raised the gas price that my gas and electric would not go up. But it didnt matter because universal gas raised it up so much that I couldnt afford it adn I had to beg for some help paying my bill. I even told this guy Me and my wife was on S.S. D and were on a fixed income and he told me that this would help us in the long run. For past 5 years my cunsumer bill has been close to a $1, ooo dollars if not more, I called thecompany and told them I wanted off this universal gas and electric and the told me that I could get out of it if I payed over $500.00 to brake the contract and with the money I have I could not do that.
So for past 5 years I had to work with consumer energy in paying my bill, and consumer energy told me to beware of people that came to my door that worked for universal gas because its the biggest rip off scam around. From now on I will know better than to sign a contract from someone that comes to my door. So be prepared if anyone comes to your door that works for universal gas and electric its not worth the paper they write on.
