H H Gregg was a new store that opened in Mobile with great grand-opening prices. Purchased a G.E. Washer for $449.00 plus a $69.99 warranty making the total purchase price of $518.99. The delivery fee would be reimbursed by a "Free Deluxe Appliance Delivery Rebate" for $69.99. Normally, we do not purchase warranties, but the saleman said something like "Purchase a warranty and you will get a rebate for the delivery fee." He gave me all the required forms, so he even thought that I was going to get a rebate. Well, as it turned out, I was denied because the washer price was under $499.00. The warranty price did not count.
My main complaint is that they should have trained their salesman to know all the correct facts before telling customers that they would get their delivery fee reimbursed by a rebate. Now, I would like my $69.99 warranty refunded to me...
