Bottom Line Books
Book that I never ordered, now they want money

I received an unsolicited book from Bottom Line Books. I then went online to usacomplaints.com and found numerous others had been snookered the same way. Some of them sent the book back and are still being threatened with collection agencies and are receiving threatening letters from these scammers.

They never say what happens if they do nothing. Do the bill collectors turn you in to the credit agencies? I have no intention of furthering their scheme by paying the blackmail, but, legally, where do they and I stand? Anyone know?

The darn book weighs several pounds and will cost me lots to ship it back. I would have to pay extra for a return receipt to verify that it was returned, since these people are a bit honesty challenged.

Will it do any good to file a complaint with the attorney generals (Iowa) consumer protection agency? How about the Better Business Bureau? Or the Chamber of Commerce? Can these people just continue to harass innocent people?
