On Fri Nov 12/10 called above business to change 2 leaky faucets (bathtub and kitchen sink) was told shut off valve to shut off water from street would not shut off. Was told that the city of calgary they had to come by appointment and charged a fee for their service - cost to me $359.00 plus tax and to change the cartridges in both taps would cost $199.00 plus tax each. Both taps are moen and the cartridges have a life time guarantee and are replaced without charge. They also tried to tell me that my furnace needed work until i showed them my receipt dated apr/10 for full check up and cleaning of the furnace. I am 78 yrs old and i think they thought i would be an easy mark.
