Wow! Sure wish I had known more about RPM before I hired them to manage my home. My story is identical to others I have just read on here. They charged me to market the place and I never could find where they advertised. I had been advertising it myself and forwarded 22 interested parties to RPM. Some of them let me know that they never heard back after leaving multiple messages at RPM. After RPM bragged about how quickly they rented out homes, it took over 5 months to get someone in mine. This is after they told me I would have to lower the rent price by at least $100 from what I had previously been getting for years. This was also after they "lost track of" 2 or 3 parties that had wanted to pay for their "application to rent". They then charge an exorbitant amount to clean and make repairs. Finally, it is time for the new tenant to move in. I go by to see how the place looks - it is absolutely, disgustingly filthy. I am not exaggerating - the workmen that had done "repairs" had clogged the toilet, left it full of feces that had been sitting there for who knows how long and then had shut off the water valve. The company then had the nerve to tell me there was a "bad smell" in the house! Plus the repairs they had supposedly done caused even more damage that I had to again pay for. They tried to charge me for more minor repairs that I ended up doing myself for a fraction of the cost of complete replacement that they said was necessary. So, every month now for the few months it has been rented they have let me know that I need to repair or replace something else. I have tried to reason with the person "managing" my property about getting refunded for damages they caused and now he has turned over the current problems to his assistant and refuses to return my calls. They also tell you you are not allowed to be in contact with the rentor, that you must go through them. Apparently that is one more easy way they can charge you for repairs that are Never Done.
This company has so far been dishonest and unprofessional and I would not recommend them to anyone.
