I live in one of the units owned by "Bob" Gomez for over 2 years. During my stay there Mr. Gomez would constantly be at the property doing work, asking to enter the unit (without 24hr notice), etc. When i decided to leave i gave "Bob" my 30 day notice. I cleaned up my apartment and did the walk through 5 days ahead of schedule but still paid for the full month. I left the place spotless. During the walk through "Bob" said "well, everything looks good. I'm sorry to see you go". We said our good bye and my girlfriend and i left.
I waited over the 21 days stated in California law for the return of my deposit or a letter with an itemized statement explaining why my $1,200.00 has not been returned. But i didn't even get a call. So i called him, i asked what was going on with my deposit, he stated " well, the damage to the apartment was well over what the deposit covered. About $700.
