Provena United Samaritans Hospital
My emergency room visit

On January 2nd 2009 i was sent to the emergency room at Provena in Danville Il for passing out at work. I had been sick prior to what happened on that day and also had already seen my doctor and got blood work at provena earlier that day before work. When i passed out an ambulance was called and thats how i got to the hospital. While i was there in no shape or form was any of the test took while i was there, the only thing they said was either i was drunk and hungover or pregnant since it was the night after new years. (I didnt go out i was sick in bed that night) after telling them that you can tell they still did not believe me even though my mother was there confirming everything i said. They asked to do blood work and i told them i already did blood work not even 4 hours prior of being there and they told me they had no records of me being there that day so they had to do more blood work. We gave them permission to do a pregnancy test and that was it on the blood work and chest x-ray and they did a xray of my head cuz i hit my head on the floor thats all they did that day. That all happened January 2nd 2009. July i received a letter in the mail from the debt collector saying that i owed provena over eight hundred dollars, i never got any type of bill sent to me about that day until collection agency called me about it over a year after that happened. I went to Provena after the i got the letter from collections to get all the information they had on file of that day when i was there in the emergency room. When i got the information thats when i found out why i never got the bill because they were charging me for things that they never did that day. Provena is ruining my credit over something they never did that day and i do not appreciate not being billed until over a year later which is not right. I want to fight this bill because it is not right what they did to me and they shouldnt be able to send me to collections without sending me a bill first. Im not willing to pay until this is looked into further.
