New Ultra Electrix Scam, Fraud, Deceiving, Liars

I am not sure how they got my credit card number, but I am pretty sure it was from Craigslist... I noticed a $9.88 charge on my credit card and immediately googled their web address. I could not seem to find it on Google, so I then just went to their immediate website by typing it in. They did not have an address on their Contact Us button, so I called the number... Funny. There was a recording of what sounded like a British woman, and then there was silence on the other end of the line for about three minutes. Then I get hung up on. I then decide to e-mail the company, explaining someone must have stolen my credit card and bought some "gadgets" on their website. They immediately e-mail me back, asking for the last four digits of my credit card number, my name, and the date of when the transaction took place.

Still being naive, I write them back with the information they requested. After doing some research, I find out that they are a company outside of the United States involved in some big scam operation. They charge small dollar amounts to your credit card in hopes that you will not notice. Well, I did.

They then email me details of the transaction, and sure enough they have my address and full name. However, the email address they supplied was a UK e-mail address (I live in the US dummies), and why would someone steal my credit card number, make a purchase, and then send the package to my OWN address...??? I also asked this company to call me numerous occassions vs. Emailing back and forth, and they would not do so (hmm, maybe because it is a fake number?). If you check the domain, it is owned by a "Sharon Bridegroom" that lives in a Colorado home (which is for sale), with a New York phone number... The domain was created May. If you try to search for this web address in Google, you will not find it. It is because they do not want real potential buyers to come across their website and try to make purchases... Since it is fake, after all.

I called this company out on their scam. They conveniently hadn't "processed" my shipment yet since I had not "confirmed" the purchase. These scam artists are not the brightest in the bunch, and they will continue to deny who they really are. Luckily I caught on fast enough. They will try to refund your money before you make a claim to your bank fraud department, as they do not want to risk getting caught. If you see this website on your bank statement, call your bank right away and cancel the card. My bank knew about this scam, so they refunded my money right away, and the fraud department is going after them. They use many other websites too, but I wanted to help prevent fraud innocent people who may have had this happen to them...
