I've owned 10 fords in my 45 years in Tucson and can't believe you don't Back up defective FORD products. I own a taxi company, I will advise everyone and anyone to steer clear of FORD products from this day forward! Richard's underling (Holmes Tuttle Ford) just called and told me that my Rust isn't going to be fix by Ford. So here is my post on the internet about my situtation. I bought two $20,000.00 350 Ford Econoline 12 passenger VANS from Holmes Tuttle FORD. I recently was told that I have RUST around the top of my Van where there is a lip. I couldn't see it because I don't look at the top of my BIG van. I have NO RUST anywhere else on the vehicle. So I ask a Body man that had worked for FORD for 30 yrs. To look at it after Ford said My warranty had run out. He explained that they have had a on going problem (every few years) with the Sealer that the body is Dipped in before it is dipped in paint. He was great he explain the whole process to me. Then he told me that the SEALER had been BAD and let go, which let water under the paint which had caused the rusting. This he explained is NOT a warranty issue, it is a Defective Sealer issue and FORD is responsible and should fix it FREE, but we all know they are scandalous and claim they aren't responsible! I say don't do it! DON'T SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON BAD QUALITY PRODUCTS THAT FORD PRODUCES CAUSE YOU'LL BE SORRY AND STILL OWE $18,000.00 ON A RUST BUCKET.
