I received a foreclosure notice in the mail on my property. When I called they told me it was a bank error and everything had been taken care of. To my understanding someone posted someone else's payment to my account and when they reversed it - instead of going back to the August date - they reversed all they way back to Janaury. My account showed that I was deliquent from January until August. They fixed it in their system - but now it is showing up on my credit report as my owing $8,800 dollars. Hard to believe since my mortgage statement shows that I am current and my payments are automatically deducted from my account each month. I just can't believe that I am now responsible for fixing this horrendous error - because someone in their company doesn't know how to do their job. I am missing work to sit on the phone while I am being passed around from one incompetent person to another. This was a mistake that should have nerver happened - and I feel like no one is being held accountable. This mistake according to what I am being told will not come off of my credit report - but the letter they are going to send me should help if I apply for credit elsewhere. I am a very dissatisfied customer and I feel this company should do better.
