WFHM claimed I was past due on mortgage payments for January and February.
I called the Customer Service number several times on different days to explain that my account with another bank had been debited the payment for January.
WFHM said that it had reversed the funds back to my bank. However, that was not true. My bank informed me that no credit was received from WFHM.
My bank, in my behalf, called WFHM and learned that WFHM had used the wrong bank account number in reversing the funds to my bank.
WFHM held my funds/payment for January in a suspense account.
I had authorized WFHM to have my bank electronic payments for monthly mortgage payments. That arrangement had been in place for many years until somebody at WFHM made a clerical error and caused a chain reaction
that resulted in WFHM's claim that I had defaulted on my mortgage.
On February 26, I spoke with Linda (I.D. No. IPUZ), who admitted to WFHM's error. Linda apologized for their mistake.
I made the payments over the telephone to bring my mortgage current. I gave her a check number, routing number and account number to effect the payment.
I asked Linda to send me a letter stating that WFHM had erred, that I was not in default or past due, and that my credit standing/rating would be fixed.
Linda promised that she would send the letter. I am still waiting.
You can't imagine the time and energy I expended to get WFHM to see how wrongly it treated me every time I tried to explain that I never failed to pay on time because WFHM automatically and electronically collected payments from my bank.
I am writing to the regulatory authority to complain on how WFHM hazzled me with numerous letters, including certified letters.
I sent WFHM a letter via certified mail and I have not received a response.in the letter I explained that I had called many times and spoken with different individuals who insisted and persisted in saying I was wron and they were right.
I have not checked my credit report, but if I find that my credit has been tarnished and WFHM has not corrected it, then I shall take recourse.
