AMS supplies lots of work to contractors, only they do not want to pay for the work when it is completed. They have you fill out a price sheet of what you charge but when it comes time to pay either they forget to add it to your invoice or send you a work order with no price or figure it up per their own pricing guidelines that you were never made aware. Contractors working for AMS are volunteering their time and money to rehab homes is what it comes down to. I charged 1800.00 for an overage on debris and they want to pay 600.00.By the time you pay your dump fees, gas, employees and taxes you will be in the red. However, they have and keep every pic you send them. Guarrentee they are making top dollar from Fannie Mae. And then when they don't get everything entered in for your invoice you have to wait until the next month to get paid on missing items. Why? Because if you don't want to wait the 45 days to get paid you pay 4% to get your check early. The longer they drag it out the more times they can charge you 4%. Good luck trying to get them to answer the phone to. I think every contractor who has had an issue with getting payment should file a class action lawsuit against them. Fannie Mae also says that if you are having a problem with them to contact the Federal Trade Commission. The CEO of AMS is Mire Black. Contact him with your problems and concerns also.
