Ameren CILCO
Abuse of power by a monopoly

I recently mounted a brand new 200 amp electric support to some portable home at 100 WATTS. Pearl St., Lot 13 in Farmington, Illinois. I've been an electrician for several years and also have mounted several throughout Illinois and Indiana. The service-man from Ameren CILCO, I Will contact him Mike Doorknob because I cannot use his actual title below, wouldn't connect the point. He first stated it had been since I'd utilized two 4 ot cables plus one 2 ot cable in the place of all three 4 ots. I told him this was the present nationwide electric signal to get a 200 amp residential support. After much discussion, he lay in his vehicle about the telephone for quite awhile, after which he got out and re-examined the whole work. Then he transformed his reason behind not hooking-up the point and stated it had been since the cable was immediate burial cable heading in the meter outlet up the post in avenue which it couldn’t manage heat. We discussed again when I described the efficiency was ranked at 167 levels, that will be properly within signal. The little 2 ot squeezed CILCO cable he was to connect it-up to bottles more than 20 mobilehomes for the reason that neighborhood and might hit just like a blend before there is actually that type of warmth in my own work! He contended and stated that he wouldn’t connect it-up even when I had been to exhibit him within the National Electrical Signal that it had been okay.

I received a phone later that evening from an engineer from CILCO apologizing for Paul Doorknob’s steps and stated that he must have connected it-up. I'd previously bought more cable (three 4 ot cables, not immediate funeral) and was replacing the point rising the post, therefore it was only a little late — countless pounds overdue. Another CILCO service-man arrived the next evening and hooked it-up. He mentioned he might have connected it-up as well as he invested lots of period following-up on Paul Doorknob’s careers and finishing them after Doorknob ripped this sort of material.

I've looked over CILCO’s site explaining the things they anticipate for this kind of installation. All it claims would be to pass the National Electrical Signal and they won't result in everything. I'm not good but in my opinion that since Doorknob has set herself and CILCO (because he presents them) ready of inspector and demands supplies and craftsmanship that are not given within the National Electrical Signal that CILCO may now be responsible for the installation. I don’t anticipate there to actually be any issues with the installment, but I plan to advise CILCO that due to his steps that they're currently accountable for the ethics of the electric installation for this home.

On another related notice, I mounted another 200 firm support a couple weeks later at 100 WATTS. Pearl Street, Lot #19 in Farmington, Illinois, just a couple homes along in the one mentioned previously. Paul Doorknob was sent to connect it up on Friday and not turned up. I named and was informed he'd been there at 1:00pm and also to examine the breaker about the post. I advised CILCO that I'd been there the whole evening awaiting him which he'd not been there also it wasn't connected. Lastly, after several telephone calls and hours later, I acquired to CILCO that it had been actually NOT connected. They delivered another service-man out that evening to complete it. It ended up to become exactly the same man who uses Doorknob around performing his function throughout the next change. He finished the task in a couple of minutes, possibly not as time than it required Doorknob to pen-mix it in his cellular pc when he lied and stated he'd been there.

It seems in my experience that CILCO comes with an employee who'd instead sit-in his costly air-conditioned vehicle and play together with his mobile phone and computer in the place of enter the container and do his work. I suppose you will get by with that after you’re marriage and work with a monopoly.
