I signed up for online courses that and within a month the person who was going to go into business with me changed her mind. I called up AAWP and explained that I had not opened any of the courses or taken any of their online test. I hadn't touched any of the stuff. I asked for a refund and she basically said 'tough luck' in a nice way. A year later I see a charge from them on my credit card once again. I contacted them and she said. Your course came with a year free after that we charge you monthly membership fees. I don't understand why me telling her that I have no intention of going into the business with AAWP means that I want a membership with them. I once again explained to her that I did not open the courses and do not want a membership much less membership fees. She emailed me back that I'm obligated to the membership now because they sent me an email about it and I did not decline. Is this legal?
