I bought a SkyCaddie in November of 07, and paid for a $50 membership to download courses into the skycaddie. I didn't read the fine print so I didn't know that after 1 year the courses are deleted from the skycaddie. I didn't renew my membership until March. The online registration said my year membership would be up in November less than the year I expected. I used the online message system to ask why this was the case and got no response, so I went ahead and resistered, thinking I could clear it up later. Unfortunately I was told by skygolf that if I had called them prior to re-regestering, they could have changed the date, but since I already registered, the expiration date would remain in November which was my original expiration date. I was without service from November to March but had to pay for it anyway. Skygolf said it is like a country club membership that is yearly, which is not an accurate analogy in my opinion. I guess that if I had called them then the membership wouldn't be like a country club membership, but if you register on-line it is like a country club membership. I think this is lousy customer service.
