We had Merry Maids of South Hadley MA come out to our new (to us) house and clean the windows, wall to wall carpets, and general cleaning. The windows and screens were cleaned very well. The carpet however was sopping wet after the "cleaning" (they used a "Home Depot" style Rug doctor carpet cleaner, (the dirty water was dumped down our toilet) rather than the professional (more powerful) Service Master style truck mounted unit.)
We had Service Master come out and redo the worst of the carpet.
The general cleaning left a lot be desired as well. The wood floors, bathrooms, bathroom cabinets, kitchen cabinets, refrigerator, and ceilings (cob webs) were still dirty when they "finished". The service was over sold to us by the sales lady she who said the cleaning would be "top to bottom and left to right" They came a second time and cleaned some more after we complained. (Which begs the question, Why not do it right the first time?!!!) They offer to return and "correct" and problems. (Thus relying on us to police their work!!!) The total cost was about $1200.00 they refunded us $80.00!!! (for the bad carpet job)
Perhaps Merry Maids should stick to the window cleaning only!!!
