My wife & I are heart broken. We searched & seaarched to make sure we were finding a healthy puppy & Judie Hansen sure says all the right things on her web site. Don't believe any of them!!! Wild Wind Kennels is an example of why puppy mill owners should be punished to the full extent of the law.
We bought a female MaltaPoo from them & had issues from the start & now it has progressed to the point that both back knees are still bad (after 800 dollars worth of surgery) & our girl has an enlarged hear & collapsed trechea which, according to the vets at Auburn is classic of poorly bred puppy mill small dogs. At first we thought maybe it was just the one vet, but have seen five different vets so far who have all said the same thing (some of them in so many words, three of them straight-out - you have a classic puppy mill dog who was poorly bred & spent the first part of her life in an environment that increased the damage caused by poor breeding practices). We are being told that no matter what we do, she is on the way out & the kindest thing we can possibly do is put her to sleep. All in a 4 yr old dog.
Hope we get to meet Judie some day so we can give her a piece of our minds', but maybe that wouldn't be such a good thing since we might be tempted to stuff her into one of her undersized kennels to ruminate on the untold suffering she has caused countless animals and unsuspecting pet buyers.
