My business closed in May09. However my contract with FAPS will not expired until May.
Not a problem, I continue to pay my monthly statement charge to them through my business checking account until January.
At this time I wrote the letter to them request them to send the bill to my home address (they are sending the statement to this address since I closed my business).
February 17th I received the collection letter from them demanded the full amount of $636 for breaching the contract with them.
I called their 18006331702 to resolve the matter and the lady on the line will not work with me at all.
1) she refused to give out her name.
2) she refused to record my conversation with her.
3) she insisted I pay full amount or will report me to credit depts.
4) she stated that once I closed the checking account then I breached my contract with them. They do not send out the bill.
I believed my right to receive the bill if I chose not to make debit payment. I felt FAPS is blackmail me for $636 with their collection letter.
I hope FAPS read this (My case # 5146034) and make the right things for their long term clients (I have been with them since 2005) and also for their future clients.
