Your PIN can not be the *only* way to verify an account, you need to be able to provide SSN, Date of Birth, billing address or a combination of those things. Using only the PIN which isn't used often (this is the first time I even knew I had a PIN) is rediculous. Having the work around to text the PIN is good, UNLESS the problem you're trying to resolve is a locked account. I can't get into the phone to retrieve the PIN to parrot it back to customer service. This is a shitty shitty policy and should be changed to allow another form of verification. Like a credit card company, or a bank, or a doctor, or every single other company I've ever done buiness with.
