Ashley Harris failed to disclose important health information regarding Quarter Horse (AQHA) Bucolenas Mr. Right "Chili" prior to sale. Said horse was touted as sound with no health issues when asked by buyer prior to sale by Ms. Harris.
Chili is HYPP positive, is currently on supplement for stomach ulcer, and was deemed lame in both hind legs (in multiple joints) by two veterinarians upon a vet check during trial period of sale. Vets advised full retirement was necessary for this six-year old horse. They concluded this was the result of too much work too young. Chili has been Ms. Harris' personal horse for two years.
Chili is sweet, loving, and deserving of rest. Unfortunately, the horse had to be returned to Harris Heights where he is still up for sale as a sound jumper.
Ms. Harris was offered a permanent rescue/retirement home for said horse where he would be loved and given the best care; however; Ms. Harris still hopes to receive the $6,500 for Chili as a sound horse.
