I was cruising the internet and wanted some information on home based businesses. It stated it was legit and would only cost me $2.97 to get started. So I thought I'd take a look. I started to prepare a website and it told me I had to read the agreement first. I did and it said it would charge me $139.95 after 3 days. At that point I tried to back out of the agreement, but the program doesn't let you. I shut down my browser to get off that page and thought that that would be it. Well low and behold I get a call about me giviing more money to create the website for them. The young man said he couldn't help me with canceling the service. He gave me customer service number. I finally called the number when I had some time about a wk. Later and the guy said that I signed the agreement and that I didn't cancel in 3 days therefore he will not refund my money that they took from my checking account. I told them that they shouldn't treat people this way if they want to stay in good standings. He said it was my problem and I could report him to anyone I wished including the attorney general. He hung up on me. So please don't fall for this stuff even cruising or looking things over, because any information you give out even for 2 dollars hooks you into something you may not be able to get out of. This is a scam, but they use the public this way to make their money. And then change their site or portal address.
