I received my first prize notice three months ago. It said I was selected and qulified to receive over 3.5 million dollors. I needed to send in a processing fee to receive a copy of my sweepstakes status. However no purchase was necessary to enter.
This went on for several weeks. Fortunately I only sent in one fee payment of $20.00. I then started to receive documents from other branches telling me I had advanced to the next step each one stating no purchase necessary to enter the sweepstakes so I never sent in any more checks other than one asking for n award fee for $12.00 from the A.S.P., they said I was a winner.
To date I have received 26 of these prize notices all of which looked very authentic. Had I paid every one of them my cost would be around $600. I am living on a fixed income in very hard times and it was so easy to believe that my hard times might be over at last.
My awakening came when I received 5 of these ripoffs in one day all of which had a different total sum of winnings or potentual winnings. And three of them were from different states. The last one I opened was a letter informing me that I forgot to send in my check and all was on hold and would stay that way until my fee was Paid.
You can't believe how I felt when I found out I'd been scamed. It could have been worse because the only thing that prevented me from sending in the fee amounts was the simple fact I didn't have what they asked for left in my account.
