I called dps services because my neighbor recommended them. Afterwords a claims guy showed up clean cut and well mannered. He talked to me and told me the process he then showed me the contract, and only the first page a copy was never left with me.
I had hail damage on my roof he never bothered to inspect roof he just blindly turned in my claim to my insurance company.
After a month or so my adjuster came and inspected my roof a did approve my claim. The same day he cut me a check. I called dps they sent this guy with some roof samples on a piece of paper instead of using real roof samples I piked out the roof color not really happy with the type of sample he was showing me a piece of magazine type paper. So i was also not liking the fact the guy was not looking the part showing up to my house in an old, small beat car, instead of a truck. When he left he took it upon himself to take my insurance check from the table without asking me. Right there is when I decided not to use them. Later I stopped payment on check and that's when i found out what I got myself into.
They sent me a letter charging me 30% of my roof claim plus bank charges for the stop payment I did. I was never given a copy of this 2 page contract until I decided not use them. Dps said" you signed the contract so now you owe us 30% of your check"
Ive sent them a letter disputing the contract and they are now suing me for the 30% plus court cost. I will never sign a one sided contract again, especially when a copy is not given to me.
