The dealerships owners were very shady people. They sold us a 2004 Chevy Avalanche that was just about un drive-able to say the least. I understand the car being sold as is but an unsafe vehicle was the least of my problems after talking with the owners wife and then himself.
Purchased the car at 5:30 pm, drove off the lot (after refusing to let my husband test drive) with an EMPTY tank of gas so low the gas light was on.
Got on the road, the speedometer, gas gauge, oil gauge everything on the dash DID NOT work!
Got the truck home and notice the broken STRUT and water in the exhaust, a leak in the muffler, the engine oil was at ZERO percent, and the trunk pieces to cover the bed were missing to be picked up a later date, also the truck had no inspection sticker
When I counted the dealership upon their opening the next morning, first I was told bring it in they wold fill up the tank have "their Mechanic", look at it and get it inspected for us.
At our arrival, the very RUDE owner's wife had a different story. She told us that everything was working on it at time of sell (less the 24 hours before) that they had only had the truck a few months and there had been no major accidents. Then she admitted it was her son's personal truck since 2007 and after we told her we pulled the car fax, she admitted the major accident it was involved in, costing thousands to have it fixed, and that she did not disclose everything she had known about the car before having sold it. Nor did she keep up the maintenance on it after having purchased it.
She went on to tell us lie after lie trying to cover up the repairs she admitted having known about and not tell my husband about when he had questioned them before buying.
I would advise everyone to stay away from these people. They sell lemon vehicles as far as I've seen. The owner and the wife do not run a professional business and are never there. They leave it in the hands of their 19 year old son and his girlfriend. Saying they RIP you OFF is putting it lightly.
