Ameritech Construction and specifically the President/Owner, Gary Lancz, is a fake! He is an arrogant, self-centered dick who cares for only himself and NOT his employees. His company sells over-priced Home Improvement products that can easily be found elsewhere through a more trustworthy company. He also does not pay any of his employees what they are worth and reacts very terribly and irrationally when it comes to confronting him about pay.
I worked for him for only a few months which seemed like an eternity. The office is SO slow at times that it makes you want to gauge your eyes out. When you actually are busy and doing other work that you need to get done, it can sometimes be nearly impossible to do it. Gary will call or text you in the middle of your work day requesting that you go out and do other duties, even if they are not your job responsibility. He targets a few innocent employees and makes them feel like personal slaves!!! Then, when you are unable to finish your specific duties on time, it's YOUR FAULT!
He cares nothing about personal needs and has no sympathy for those who miss any work days for illness or other reason. My car got towed and he could have cared less. I was fired from the company basically for being sick, incliment weather (which directly affected my job performance in a negative way), having my wallet stolen (which had the company credit card in it), having my car towed, and needing to get knee surgery. (All which somehow ended up happening to me within a few short weeks) It is clear that all of these reasons were simply out of my control, but he was angry and decided to just fire me! Not only did he fire me, but he almost did it without even explaining himself! (not that his "explanation" helped, because he literally had no reason) He is also now continuing to make my life a living hell by refusing to pay my unemployment!!!
He over-works and under-pays every single one of his employees, but himself of course. He expects everyone to work 6-7 days a week for him and if you don't, you're a failure in his eyes. You can work your ass of for him and it will go unrecognized! There are also a few (ONE in particular) employee (s) who have worked there forever and will throw you under the bus without hesitation. Beware of ameritech construction corp. I would NEVER recommend anyone work there and/or buy their products; ever.
