I took my 2002 Toyota Sienna van in for an oil change during the middle of December in 2009. They called me later on in the day and said the van was ready but needed $1809 worh of repairs. I asked for what, they said for front and rear shocks and a wheel alignment. I declined the offer of service.
After I picked up the van I noticed a burning smell coming from the front of the car. I took the van in the next day to check out the smell and they wanted to charge me to look at it. I declined. This is the next day after they performed the oil change.
I took it to another shop and they say its an oil seal leak and will cost about $1500 to repair.
Coincidence? You decide.
