This letter is in regard to a complaint directed at "legal loan bailout"an affiliate of "Laverty law firm"
I have gone under contract with them both, after being preapproved, to negotiate a loan modification on my mortgage.
This process started in October 09, It was to take approximately 90 days. For the first 3 months there was only 3 correspondences via emails, letting me know everything was on tract and to receive up to date bank statements. After making my final payment, all correspondents have stopped, with the exception of my attempts to contact them (Laverty law). I have contacted legal loan bailout many times, they tell me that they will look into this, and get right back to me, never to hear from them again..
My case has changed hands three times since being approved, excuses range from employee illness to leaving the company.
All telephone attempts on my part start with reaching a reception person that tells me that the person's that I am asking, are either busy on the phone or not in, and that they will call me back before the end of day. Needless to say this DOES NOT HAPPEN.
I was very leery about anyone in this particular business, because of all the mortgage scams, so looked them up on the better business bureau and any blogs or other complaints they might have and didn't find anything, so I went ahead.
The process starts with 1,200 down and 1,200 a month for 4 months (total 4,800) dollars. I an completely paid up as of Jan 1.
January 21st I receive in the mail a letter from Laverty law, informing me that they have negotiated a short sale with my lender, that is NOT what I paid for or was to be negotiated or agreed upon. Since then they have avoided me completely. I have emailed and called repeatedly with no response, therefore making my complain.
