The company's management specifically told us about how their job is to simplify lives and help people to live intelligently. The management really wants every person who buys a system to feel valued. The concern for each customer's experience starts at the top, and is reflected in the action of every employee they hire.

The company also works to monitor their sales and customer support calls to see how they can be improved. They use these calls as examples for employees in training. Currently, Vivint is working to make changes to their contracts to make things easier for their customers as they have found that many of their complaints stem from feeling misled or customers paid fees they did not feel they authorized.

APX Alarm Dishonest and deceitful recruiting of summer sales reps provo, Utah

It is very tempting to go out and spend your summer selling for a home security company. They talk about thousands of dollars in your pocket if you work hard all summer. They talk about crazy intensives that just make a young desperate college student dream big. The reality is your lucky to make minimum wage. Here is the break down for those of you thinking of going out and selling over a summer for a home security company like APX, AMP, or Platinum. Adding up time in meetings and driving out to your area, 7-11 hours on the doors and driving home, you are going to be working over 60 hours a week for 4 months straight! You get three days off if your manager likes you and if you take more time off then they can deny you you commission check. You have to go to meetings and you have to work all the hours because if you don't, they can deny your commission check. They say you are your own boss but that is completely deceptive because they own you and when they say jump you either say how high or they withhold your commission check. Also when being recruited it is important to know every detail. When I asked my recruiter how much rent was he told me $250. Come to find out, my assumption that normal people talk about rent in months not weeks was wrong. Rent was $1000 a month plus utilities!

Also they talk about each account being worth $400. FALSE! You only make $400 on a sale if you sell at least 50, none of those 50 cancel before December, you collect the full monthly monitoring rate (which is typically $3-$5 more than the competition), and don't give away any equipment. Otherwise you might make $250 if you're lucky. I would say that half of the reps in my office last summer made less than $15 an hour for their work and half of them finished the summer with $0 to show for all their work. Do not be deceived by the money, the reps, and the recruiters. If you don't sell the amount that they want you to, you will make NO money and APX or AMP or whatever company you sell for will benefit. They really don't care about you or their costumers, they care about money. Deception is the name of the game for these companies and they mask it with the word "sold." They "sell" you, they don't deceive you. It is how the recruiters recruit and it is how the big numbers are produced, deception. I was deceived by an APX recruiter but they are all the same. If you are considering summer alarm sales do your homework, read the contract thoroughly (with the help of a professional), and ask specific questions and demand specific answers. Oh and one last thing they do to seal you in is offer a bonus. This so called bonus is actually a temporary loan that they take out of your check at the end of the summer. They will make you think it is not a big deal but it is, it is a very big deal and you should treat it as such.
