An order was placed for a free trial electric cigarette for a fee of $9.99 for shipping.
When we tried to cancel the order, we could not, so it arrived and was debited from my checking account.
Fine, I tried to return the item, and after weeks or trying to contact the company, finally got a rma from them, however in the meantime, they charged me before the 30 day trial was over, $89.95 for the entire price of the cigarette. This over drew my check book, and I had bounced checks and check fees out the wazoo.
I tired to contact them for a refund and got a letter back saying:
" We received your request for a refund. Unfortunately our merchant service provider has disabled our ability to directly refund money to your account. Therefore we are informing our customers to contact theircredit card companies or bank to dispute the charges to receive their refund.
Even though we are unable to provide your refund directly remain assured that Smoke Anywhere USA will accept full liability on these charge backs, and you should receive your refund. If you have any questions, please contact our customer service department."
You cannot get a hold of this company, you get an answering machine that directs you to their website when you call, and once there, you can't get a return e-mail from them.
