I was new to Denver in January and George G. Richey was recommended to do extensive remodeling for my house. The work was started March with a promise that it would be completed June. One aspect of the remodel was to enclose an existing outdoor porch. When Mr. Richey was 3/4 through with the indoor remodel he started the extension of the porch. The finish work inside was not yet completed, none-the-less, he removed the existing wall supports for the porch roof, removed the cement pad, dug a trench for a new foundation, and propped up the roof with three 2X4s.
By this time it was September and in my effort to hold him accountable for the work I called and sent letters about making good on the contract. Mr. Richey responded to my phone calls with promises to come and pour the foundation and complete the outdoor walls, but he still did not come and work on the project.
