Ebay assures buyer protection in it's advertising to seduce buyers. A seller can skirt th the process by tactics that exhaust the 45 day dispute window period and then ebay can disallow any resolution. Seller "rabin70" did that to me. Sold a new watch that arrived defective; weeks later allowed me to return... Then said an additional $50 required for a replacement. I declines; no further responses were received front the scum bag. Phone call to ebay "customer service" said they had no responsibility for any action since the scum bag seller exhausted the 45 day dispute filing period. The seller kept the defective watch and my purchase price.
I wrote several letters to ebay corporate address "ATTN: CEO Donovan" and none were answered.
Ebay is a fraud vis a vis sellers that list "new' and sell factory returns. Defective merchandise... Protract the resolution past 45 days so the buyer has no recourse other then filing with State Attorney general's office in CA which is a non sequitur, and it appears that CA Atty general is complicit in Ebay's fraudulent activity.
Buyer's go elsewhere... Unless you like doing business with "prostitutes" (IE, Ebay and prostitutes share the same business plan: screw customers for money).
