We bought a computer for our small business at Home Town Computers January 3 with a one year warranty. We took it home and it did not work. It would turn itself off for no reason.
We took it back and they said the processor was overheating so they added another vacuum fan to cool it. We took it home and it still did not work. We carried the computer back and forth to the store numerous times trying to get it fixed.
We have a documented file of the numerous times we had to go back and have the computer looked at due to the fact it did not work. We were never able to use the computer productively for our business.
On January 30 they finally decided to just give us another computer that was similar or very close to the same with a one year warranty and an additional 6 months for the trouble we had been going through.
We returned to the store for more computer problems on May 26. They said we had a virus and that we should take the computer home and backup our files.
We returned the next day and they informed us that our warranty was void due to the fact we had bugs and dust inside the computer and that was the cause of the computers demise.
We declined having the computer fixed by them at this time due to the voiding of the warranty and the total unsatisfactory business dealings with them.
We took the computer to another computer dealer and their diagnosis was that the motherboard was corrupt and it had nothing to do with bugs or dust.
