I was first hired by the City of Washington Court House part time.in this time I was turned down for a full time position since I was not full time for a year and someone else that got the job was. After a year of part time I was hired full time into the Custodial dept. I worked this for a year then I bid on a Street Labor position that came up. Twice this job came up and twice I was turned down. The first man, a male friend got the job and the second, a male relative got the second job (president of our Union son got the job).
I had to file Grievance to get a try at the job, this was against the contract. Being full time I was suppose to have first go at it. They change rules and put me in half and half, custodial first half and street dept. Second half. Was told if I could do the job and like the job I had the job. This was not the case it was a man to get the job no matter what. Had I have been a man there would have been no problems, some will admit to this.
I was hired full time for being a good worker. Witnesses will tell I was a good worker on the Street dept. Also. I was suppose to have so much time to get my CDL but was not given the chance. Once I proved I could drive the cource and name the parts of the trailor and truck. They put me out with a slanderous work record. (I have cut this short but I think you can get the picture).intimidating tactics where being used on me all along. Witnesses to this. More ways to prove women were treated differnt.
They kept the guy in a positon, custodial until they got me out. If added up he even made more money, bigger raise than I did. Another guy who had filed Grievance about the same time I did because he was passed over do to seniorty was given a made up postion with more pay. I was demanded to go back into the Custodial dept. After all they did and their made up lies. I was given around twenty papers of made up bull, made up lies such as laging behind on draging brush when I was having surgery. I have this 100% proof. Can pretty much tell the rest of the made up lies where they say one thing on one page then say some thing different on the next. I have witnesses to prove I was a good worker.
The City is considered government this is the reason I believe someone has some high poweres as to also denie me from getting unemployment after proving they intentionally discriminated against me. They said I quit do to the fact I would not go back and clean their potties after all the lies and the way they did me. Who would? Remember they made up a job for the other man that did not include him cleaning potties.
I have went to one hearing over unemployment. There should have been no hearing. The City Personel Director is trying to say I just handed in keys and quit. I never said I quit and refuse to sign a resignation that she tried twice to get me to sign. She felled to tell them at the hearing that any thing else was said. She lied 5 times under oath about this and yes I would take a lie detector test on any thing I say. The second hearing is coming up and I have yet to find a lawyer, being blocked from that also. When my family and friends know I have 100% proof of their illegal doings then why cant I get legal representation? There is more to all of this but this is the basic and I think just by this its not hard to see the truth.
I have filed with the OCRC but hear again fishy stuff has went on. I first turned down mediation and told them to investigate. The City was able to call for a mediation hearing. They did not show. Had I have not shown it would have been thrown out the window. They also transfered my case to another City. I went to the other place to fill the new person in. With the proof I have on paper there is not any thing to investigate yet they are still investigating it.
When I first called the OCRC the lady did not want to send me the forms to file a claims. Ask her name she would only give first name. Did not get no where with this lady to the point I called again (suppose to be calling a different city to where this lady was not located). I called the second time to ask for these forms only to get the same lady back raising cane with me saying I got her in trouble because she refuse to send me the forms to file a claim. (I never told any one this lady refuse me any thing or even what her name was.) I called back to the other place a third time and this time in a more demanding tone I ask for the forms and this is when someone not her took my name and address. I was then sent the forms. Is this not strange? I had the same problem with the EEOC to where they sent me three sets of the same forms with a different name but my address on one of them. (a mans name that I dont know who he is but know of people with his same last name). Strange things have went on. This single mom had a great job with weekens off most of the time and now I have no job. They said I broke the contract when all along they never went by the Union contract and some of the men were Union and thats another thing Union members are not suppose to do the things they did to another Union member. The Union rep from else where said he would not do any thing to those men. Why? I had no Union rep. The Union rep sided also with the men and I have phone bills proving where I was calling all along complaining on what they were doing to me.
Single mom unjustly discriminated against with 100 % proof and witnesses to back this up. Can someone help? When ever they post jobs in the paper they claim to be an equal oportunity employer yet they did this to me and they have no men working in the Street Dept, Waste Water Plant, Water Dept and so forth.
