Mr. Lyon's company was contracted to install a full "Acrylic Bath System" for $5000. This included tub cover, full surround, plumbing, and wainscoting on remaining walls. Job started and completed 12-17-07. Next day, we noticed flaws in the work... Caulk put on sloppily, surround walls bulging, and the butyl rubber that was used to adhere their product to the walls was speckled everywhere. Several calls were made, and always the receptionist said that she would get the message to Mr. Lyons. He never called back. At least a hundred calls were made and messages left.in April '08, we got them to come back to resolve our issues with their work. It was never done. At this point, the caulk they used was turning black with mold, and the ceiling piece was sagging at least 3". There was also the sound of water collecting between the tub liner and the original tub. Long story short, we hired a lawyer. We went to 2 court dates and Mr. Lyons never showed. We won the judgement. At this point Mr. Lyons had closed his business. Our lawyer filed with the DPOR. We got our money back from the state, including lawyer's fees. We hired a good contractor to basically gut our bathroom and rebuild it. They discovered the plumbing job that Talon did had been leaking... Surprise! Our bathroom now looks great, thanks to a trustworthy contractor who cares about his work.
