I went to Foreman Motors and found a Scion XB, which was exactly what I was looking for, right miles, decent price. When test driving it I noticed that it had an aftermarket steering wheel (with no airbag). I told them that I would purchase the car for that price, but they had to put a new stock steering wheel on it WITH an airbag. I was VERY adamant about it having an airbag. They told me that they would put one in but it would be a few weeks because it had to be ordered.
So 2 or so weeks went by and I never heard anything from them. So I called and no one seemed to know what I was talking about or if the steering wheel was even there. After calling and complaining for days I ended up coming down and they were to install it when I got there. So they did install it, while they were installing it I asked them over and over if they were sure that there was an airbag and they assured me that there was.
When I went to leave I noticed that my speed gauge was actually in the negatives and not moving at all, so I turned around and went back to have them fix that. While the fixed that they messed up the gas gauge and had to fix that. Then on my drive home my horn starts going off nonstop, the whole way down the road. So I went back and they fixed that. Now AGAIN as I am almost home (I live about 40 minutes from the dealership) I notice that the airbag light is on. So I called them and asked them about it and they said that when they fixed the horn they broke the clip that makes the airbag light go off, so they told me to call the following week to have it fixed. So I did and of couse that "clip" that turns off the airbag light just happens to be on backorder.
For the next month it continues to be on backorder every time I call. And by this time I am moving out of the state to go to school. So I just said the heck with it and figured I could have someone else put the clip in that might not break something else while doing it. Once moved to Maine where I went to school I had someone look in my steering wheel to fix my clip, just to find out that there is NO AIRBAG, and that they had taken a steering wheel that had been in a previous crash and FILLED IT WITH SPRAY FOAM to feel/look like there was an airbag in it.
I was so upset and I called Foreman Motors, when I did they told me that Mr. Foreman who owned Foreman Motors had been run out of town and it was under new ownership so they didn't have any paperwork on me buying a car there or anything about an airbag/steeringwheel replacement. As he is telling me this I am sitting at my computer seeing the owners face plastered all over their website (this happened 6 months ago) and it is still plastered on there to this day. These men are ALL LIARS and CROOKS! What would have happened if I had gotten into a car accident and gotten hurt because there was NO AIRBAG and a steering wheel filled with FOAM! Stay Far FAR FAR away from this dealership and anyone who has anything to do with them.
